My sister believe Jack Crusher jr's existence is gouvernment propaganda because of the birth rate drop. So according to her, they took the most childfree character of Star Trek and give him a biological son in hope to make people think like "I wanna choose Picard's path" and they put Beverly at her rightful place as a woman. At the end, they are celebrating the nuclear family because obvioulsly Picard is gonna to go back with Beverly now Jack is an adult. That's my sister's view. Sometimes I think it's funny. Sometimes I wonder if it's true. Putting a biological child in the center of the season 3 might not be an innocent choice. I don't know but it's interesting to talk about it.
