Wesley Crusher becoming a Traveler was a cool idea, but I feel like it kinda discarded all the development he went through as an acting ensign on the Enterprise and then at Starfleet Academy to prepare for a potential Starfleet career. I also didn’t like how they didn’t have his reason for wanting to quit the academy be Sito’s death.

“Valtor in Season 8 basically becomes a Darkar 2.0. He keeps sitting in one place the whole of the first half of Season 8 (besides ep 12 and 13) and orders others to do the work. I really hate it, and it's very out of character for him, since in Season 3 he orders the Trix (only for distraction) but still steals the spells of the realms his self.”
