I felt really good about the fact that Yuri on Ice has parts with Yuri coming to terms with his attractions and his sexuality because I always wondered as a kid if I wasn't gay because I can't flirt with men for the life of me and I'm always super embarrassed when I try. Seeing Yuri try and realizing how endearing it is and how he's still succesful helps me feel so much better about myself.

I like how Yuuri doesn’t even really question himself. He’s never like “I can’t be gay? Liking boys isn’t normal!” I like how he’s just like “Yeah, i like Victor. I LOVE VICTOR” And I’m really glad you have someone to look up to! We all need that! I’m glad the show makes you feel good about yourself. I’ve seen this show help so many people and it’s amazing what it’s doing!

I don't know if everyone already knew this but the only way Yuuko knew that Yuuri was skating Stay Close to Me was from the opening pose so he was literally creating music with his body. Just saying.

OH yeah! I heard that about Victor too! I never would have realized he was skating without the music!

While I love Makkachin very very much, I do think it would kind of benefit Viktor and Yuri's relationship if he died. Because then they would have something to bond over besides skating, which is very important. While I'm concerned that if Makkachin lives Viktor may become overly cautious with Yuri, and may get upset if Yuri throws in more jumps.

I could see how that could happen, but I don’t believe he would. Victor has apparently had a few other Poodles before Makkachin, so I think he already knows the feeling of losing a pet and how it effects him, but I also don’t believe Makkachin is going to die due to the fact Kubo-Sensei said no character in the series will die. But I do think this experience will bring them closer together either way. Yuuri PUSHED Victor to go, showing Victor how much he cares about him and how he didn’t want him going through the same thing he went through, if god forbid he did die. The time apart also, will only make them stronger considering the fact that they have never been apart in how many months? I think it’ll end benefiting them either way :)

Okay, confession time

Do you think they would really go through with killing Makkachin for Victor’s character development? I really love the show, and I love the boys but I really hope they don’t let him die because I feel that then Victor would have to pretend to be happy for Yuri if he wins, while hiding his pain about Makkachin until later. And that would simply tear my heart in two. Thoughts?

I don’t think they’re going to kill Makkachin, AT ALL. I think they’re using this an a chance for the guys to grow while they’re apart. Also, maybe we’ll get to see a bond form with Yurio and Yuuri and maybe even some flashbacks from Makkachin as a pup!!! Also, Kubo-sensei said no characters are going to die and Makkachin is a character too! So I think they’ll be just fine!
