For the WIP ask game - Summer Starfall!
I've already discussed the premise and the format for this idea, so I'm just going to add a little piece about how this story could expand the Starfall world. Showing this world in summertime is a good way to round it out into a real place rather than solely an aesthetic. Thinking about the plot surrounding the girl and her suitors is making me think about things like vacation destinations and business practices and laws and the justice system the economic realities of this world, which could help to flesh out the world even if these details don't get into the story itself.
Also, when considering this concept, the term starfinder came to me, which interests me. It seems a decent possibility as a profession for the poor suitor. It suggests, not someone who catches stars for a starfall family, but someone who seeks out stray stars, or new places where stars might begin to fall. It suggests a more wandering lifestyle outside of the strict class heirarchy of this world. It suggests someone who's ambitious and a dreamer with perhaps a naive level of hope as he tries to make his fortune. And it's someone who might not necessarily be trusted as decent husband material. I'd have to finesse the concept, but I like the possibilities this suggests for his character.
