Lukanette week: Lovestuck?
I got so lateeeee (TwT) But... well I managed to finish this little OS. I hope you like it :D
I fused day 1 (music), 2 (family) and 3 (confession) for this one :D
'I remember that it hurt... looking at her hurt'.
There had been no more than two minutes of started watching the movie, the one that Jules told him to watch.
"You two remembered me of that", she said, back in the morning while eating breakfast.
"We? We who?", he teased, fully aware of what his little sis' was talking about, but unable to even pronounce her name. It still was something he couldn't explain, an strange but comfortable feeling that came whenever he thought of her.
"Like if you don't know", Juleka smiled, knowing so well what he was thinking about only by that singular smile he strangely adopted through the week. "You better ask her as soon as you can... or are you going to remain lovestuck forever?"
"Just watch the movie, you'll understand."
And there he was, trying to understand how it was possible that his lil' sister dare to compare him to the writer boy. Firstly, he wasn't a writer, not anymore since his father left. And that, of course, was a wound that still hurt.
It was something that he couldn't tell her, even if it was she, the bluebell eyed sweet girl, the one who asked.
He was good at remembering things, it was something his father used to praise when he was young.
'A good writer has that special ability to remember, even the little details. You could be a great one if you want, little boy'.
Yet, still hurt. Those memories of those good days of when his parents where still together. When his father wrote the lyrics of his mother's songs. They both seemed to be made for each other and then, in all of a sudden, one simple day, he found his mother crying, the lyrics notebook being destroyed by her own hands. And it wasn't difficult to understand. He was already twelve, he was the first child and the big brother... He knew he must become strong for his mother and sister. That notebook would have never been ripped apart if there were not a strong reason that made his mom so furious and sensible at the same time.
And despite Anarka hide too well the reason that tore the family apart, he happened to discover it, when he was fifteen, just a couple of years after choosing music as his heart path. He saw his father with his new family, a family which was not so new as he concluded rigth after looking at the girl that was walking in the middle of his father and a woman he didn't know. That girl was just a few years younger than Jules. And they seemed so happy, more than how he remembered his family was, that he didn't even bothered to interrupt.
It was difficult to deal with at the start, it was still difficult at his seventeen years.
What if he got his heart broken, so badly like his mom? Or, worse than that, what if he became like his father?
He was so scared of an ending like that, that he never gave love a single chance in his whole life. Not until she came to break those walls of fear he solely imposed to keep his heart away from love. Or that was what he recently discovered after almost an hour of watching the movie. He was so lovestuck with Marinette, not having a single clue of how to deal with his racing heart or that melody that popped up every time he saw her.
A melody that got quite different a week ago, making his own heart bump, creating an own song that kept insistent in his mind. Even more when that song was actually her song, her heart song, not a mere funny song neither the one that he created to make her smile once when he saw her so sad, so down, so uncommon in her. She was not meant to be sad. She was pure joy and warm, shiny like the brightest star of the sky, not even the sun would ever reach her beauty. And yet... someone made her feel so sad, so gloomy. It just... hurt. Looking how hurt she was.
And he remembered. That was something he could not forget that easily.
It was only a week since he saw her tears streaming down her lovely face, hurting her sweet eyes. He could not even imagine who would have dare to hurt her, to make that pretty angel to suffer. It was not fair. Not for her.
He might not understood by that time, but he was already in love with her. That feeling of trying to bring that bright and beautiful smile of hers at any cost was not so unfamiliar. Not at that point when his heart was demanding to tell her, to break the walls of fear and invite her in. He was still unsure, but, if Marinette was the only one who could make him think twice about love, how could he ignore his heart wisdom? He would not anymore. Like that boy in the movie, like the girl in the movie. Staying lovestuck was not his style, he must tell her about his feelings, gave her all the love she deserved even if he got hurt in the way. Because it was worse looking her hurt.
Wasn't that what his father was supposed to do? At least, it was something he knew he would never do to Marinette. Not to her. The bluebell eyed angel that was his only reason to give love a chance, to compose a brand new song, and so many more that he was sure that were already there, waiting for their two paths to match.
He smiled once the movie ended. With an only thought in mind or, if he was true to himself, an only girl in his mind and heart.
"Ma-Ma-Marinette... What have you done to me?"
