I’m staying home from looking for work I guess?

Very much so, but I still would like to be able to see my friends, go to the movies, etc.

an event you were looking forward to that got canceled?

I was supposed to go visit my sister in Tel Aviv but that’s not happening :( And looks like Japan Expo in July is not going to happen either ...

what movies have you watched recently?

I’ve rewatched a lot of oldies but goodies: Singin in the Rain, Prince of Egypt, Pride & Prejudice

I plan on watching Victor / Victoria and to liveblog it, if you’re interested ;)

what shows are you watching?

I’m slowly making my way through a French show called “Baron Noir”, about French politics, it’s just *wow* so I’m taking my sweet time to appreciate it

what music are you listening to?

My Writing playlist (lots of classical music plus some movie soundtracks)

what are you reading?

I have several books lined up but right now, I’m mesmerized with @zavocado’s Joenerys fanfic “Embers” (I really recommend it)

what are you doing for self-care?

I joined an association to bring baked goods to hospitals (it is self-care because at least I feel useful), I nap, I put cream on my hands and go through my collection of Korean face masks ^^

I tag whoever wants to do it, i would love to see how you’re taking care of yourself while we’re all cooped up at home!

I made pesto!

(And a mushroom soup but it's already in the freezer)

Made chocolate flourless cakes

Made oven roasted eggplants (with tahini and pomegranate)

Made a oven roasted lamb shoulder (still roasting)

Made a tomato, bellpepper and veal sauce to freeze

Will make a mushroom soup (if someone has a recipe i'll take it but otherwise i'll eyeball it)

Lots of recipes to come to @hazelandglazed at least ;)

Woke up at 6 because of a panic attack

Showered and baked a flourless cake (Kosher for Passover if some of you are interested)

How is your day starting?

Me to my therapist: I still shower but I don’t feel the need to do an effort because the only person who is going to see me is my mom and she understands

My therapist: What about you

Me: ...?

My therapist: Taking care of yourself and your appearance is for you, first of all. So, what about you.

Me: Damn, I didn’t need to be slayed today.

My therapist: Think about it. A little facemask, a manicure, some hydrating cream ... Just do something for you, FOR YOU

I MANAGED TO ORDER GROCERY DELIVERY AND I FEEL LIKE I WILL NEVER TOP THIS

THIS FEELING OF ACCOMPLISHMENT AND ACHIEVEMENT

I completely, utterly realize that this feeling is *not* normal I just wanted to share my happiness

Not to reach the Godwin point already, but.

My mom had this thought I would like to share it with you peeps

If my grandfather survived the deportation and being sent to concentration/extermination camps, plus everything else he had to fight in his life, then surely we can survive how ever long this confinement will last

We can do this

It may not be easy, it may not be comfortable, it may be hard but if we keep our empathy we can get through this

Got my session with my therapist over the phone 

I really needed to let out all those negative thoughts
