Quite possibly one of the most sexy firstprince fics I’ve read 😳😳😳

This was my second venture into alternate AUs (all that glitters is canon-compliant and another fic that I have yet to post a cover for were my first serious exposures of the amazing world of fanfiction).

I don’t have many words for this fic except what a wild ride (pun intended) it was. A definite must-read for anyone who wants to explore a sexier AU. “get him alone” is one of the first fics I recommend to friends for those who want to explore AUs and who want more than just fade-to-black.

So much angst. So much sex.

The cover is an obvious recreation of The Goldfinch, Henry’s treasured item in the story. Getting back into pseudo-serious hobby of graphic design, there was a learning curve to the Photoshop alternative for my iPad (excuse me, how much is the subscription now??), and this poster was a great teaching moment for me. Clone Stamp tool, you are the best.

The image in the centre was going to be either this one, or the two of them smashing their faces together in Paris. Maybe i’ll revisit and make an alternate cover.

💞what's the most important part of a story for you? the plot, the characters, the worldbuilding, the technical stuff (grammar etc), the figurative language

When I'm writing I definitely tend toward worldbuilding and end up very often swept away in my own little worldbuilding and aus lmao, tho I am also a ho for that figuative language and the flow of language generally is very important to me. when reading its a combo of it all, a good balance of interesting plots and believable characterization and world with nice lang.

💝what is a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?

This is hard to answer bc I generally come into writing fics with little expectation for how people will react beyond like the 1-3 close friends I write for, but my first CoD fic, (Finding a) Home for Christmas had an overwhelmingly positive response that I was not in the least bit prepared for and my gazprice fic, Playing Favourites, had a lot of 'trans gaz!' comments that really surprised me in the good way.

🍭why did you start writing?

its the brain worms innit? I jest but kind of literally I just get ideas that I need to put on paper and then its fun to share them with people. I will admit I post bc I like the validation of comments and kudos, but the writing itself is a purely necessary creative outlet for the little worms that live in my brain (like silk worms, they eat all the random garbage emotions and thoughts and shit I experience on the daily and turn them into Ideas for Fiction).
