A lovely Conniel wedding by @sorceringing ! Connor and Daniel worked so hard for this moment, to make it to here. From dying together through to living together, it’s been a hard road. But in the end, worth it to be together.

I love the colors, the pose, everything about this!

Day 3: Wrong Blind-Date, Wings

Daniel wondered about the guy his friends set him up with. Dark hair, hazel eyes, and the initials ‘CA.’

He stepped into the café cautiously, only to startle as a hand darted into the air and waved him over.

And there he was, brown hair, freckled skin, green-tea-with-honey eyes and a smile that was awkward and excited, like a dog seeking company.

“Hello!” he said as Daniel approached, all smiles and politeness. He held out a hand and shook Daniel’s hesitantly extended one eagerly. “My name’s Connor Anderson; it’s a pleasure to meet you, and, well, uh, be on a date with you.”

Daniel’s lips grew into an easy grin. “Same here. Daniel.”

Connor blinked, looking surprised for a moment before relaxing and motioning at the seat across from himself, urging Daniel to sit.

There was minor small talk exchanged, conversation about the weather, a mildly witty bit of banter, and then a comfortable silence. Connor drummed his fingers and hummed to himself, looking over Daniel with soft eyes. Daniel swallowed and bit his slightly chapped lip, his own eyes flicking across Connor’s frame.

His cheeks flushed, noticing finally that Connor was wearing a well-fitting button-up that hugged his body in all of the right places and a tie with paw-prints dotting it. He felt a bit underdressed in his basic white tee-shirt with black short sleeves, though Connor seemed not to mind in the slightest.

“You know,” Connor mentioned, “I was a little worried when Markus mentioned setting me up with his best friend. But you’re surprisingly great company, even if he gave me the wrong name.”

“Wrong name?” Daniel asked, intrigued.

Connor nodded, “Yeah, he called you ‘Simon’ when he showed me your picture. Nickname?”

Daniel’s breathing stuttered. “That’s my brother. We’re twins.”

Connor’s mouth formed an ‘o’. Daniel stood up, ready to apologize for wasting Connor’s time and leave. Luckily for the both of them, Connor quickly regained himself and smiled, his eyebrows curved upwards in the inner corners. “No offense to your brother, but I think I much enjoy and would even prefer your company.”

“You haven’t even met him,” Daniel scoffed, “Most people like him better, and for good reason.”

“Well, why don’t you sit back down and tell me more about yourself, and I’ll give my judgement later? Perhaps on a second date, should this one go well. And, if we end up going to your place sometime, I’ll greet him and tell you my determination.”

Daniel plopped back into his seat with a half-grin. “You smooth bitch.”

Connor smirked back at him, doe eyes glimmering in mirth. “Guilty.”

And so it continued.

Bonus:

Daniel sighed at his brother over the phone, “Don’t you dare pull an ‘I told you so’ on me right now. I’m in a good mood but that doesn’t mean I won’t thrash you once I get home.”

Simon chuckled merrily. “So, Captain Chase Allen, huh? That great of a date?”

“What?”

“What? Was I wrong?”

“...” Daniel hung up the phone, staring at his now black phone screen with no expression. “...Shit.”

Daniel, when I first saw you I knew that you had a flame in your heart. And under wild blue skies, marble movie skies, I found a home in your eyes. We would never be apart.

I just think the lyrics fit the situation very accurate! It's like if Connor said this words to Daniel, and he was like: “You really think so? Okay, I trust you!” but Connor lied to him.
