"Go" for "yes"

In a conlang, I propose that the word for "yes" was either replaced or emerged from the 2nd person imperative of the verb "to go".

Why though ?

Simply enough, in French, when someone makes a suggestion with an alternative of the type "On fait ça allonger ou assis ?", the answer can be "Va pour assis!", which translates to "Let's go with ...". This type of structure can be shortened to simply "va" when the question only contains 1 proposition "Et si on allait à la plage ?" - " Va!"

In the case of a replacement of an earlier word for "yes", it'd be a nice way to introduce a quirk in your conlang
