If All My Leo AUs Met… Part 2!!
Echo: Hey, I feel like you’ve all got a very large amount of trauma, so this competition feels kinda pointless…
(The Leo’s are all standing around a whiteboard with scores being kept track. The scores? Trauma points. The name of the game is to figure out who has the most trauma in this group. Even Dicentra is there, even though he is remaining silent and not meeting anyone’s eyes and standing a little further from the others. Currently, Snapdragon is holding the marker, and the board is being set up.)
Trainee: Oh, Echo, dear, sweet, terrifying Echo… It is BECAUSE we’ve been put through the wringer that we must compete. We must know who has had it worse so that we can earn bragging rights.
Echo: …bragging rights. For trauma.
Blue: The only currency that matters.
Dicentra, signing: I concur.
Echo, sighing: Ok, fine. How are we counting this?
Snapdragon: Well, we’ve gotta start with the obvious stuff. Our two Separated counterparts get a couple of points right off the bat, for the mere fact that they had no access to our brothers.
Blue: Fair.
Trainee: Well, you should give me like, ten more points for growing up in the Foot.
Tribute: Weren’t you just bragging about what great fathers Lieutenant and Brute made for you?
Trainee: Still a cult! Still brainwashed!
Snapdragon: I’ll give you five.
Trainee: Aw, man…
Tribute: Well, you should give me more because I was raised by Big Mama and she had be start fighting in the arena when I was eight.
Blue, narrowing his eyes: Lethal or semi lethal?
Tribute: Lethal.
Snapdragon: Fifteen.
Trainee: Rude!
Snapdragon: Well, I’ll give myself twenty five…
Blue: Whoa! Where’s that coming from?
Snapdragon: My brothers made me promise to be more honest and open about my mental health. This is me being open and honest.
Trainee: Dude, you said that you were hit with a truth curse that caused physical pain each time you lied, but acted as a pain reliever and healing spell when you told the truth. I do NOT see how that would be trauma inducing.
Snapdragon: The curse almost killed me.
Tribute: Sounds like your own stubbornness, that’s worth ten.
Snapdragon: I spent a literal eternity in the Prison Dimension!
Blue, Trainee, Dicentra: Get in line.
Snapdragon: Ugh! Fine! I’ll give myself ten.
Tribute, side-eyeing Echo: You didn’t go into the Prison Dimension either?
Echo: Oh, no, I went in! Only it was a year for my brothers, not me. I really only stayed for five minutes! Seriously, all trauma is on my fam, not me.
Blue: …I really do not believe that, Snapdragon give Echo fifty.
Snapdragon: On it.
Blue: Meanwhile, I feel like my secondhand trauma is worth about a hundred or so…
Snapdragon, Tribute, Trainee, Dicentra: Dude!
Blue: Hey, I have ALL the memories of the apocalypse. I literally had to live through all of it. I saw my brothers die.
Snapdragon: … Fine.
(Currently, Blue is in the lead.)
Snapdragon: Dicentra, loss of limb is worth twenty, brotherly betrayal worth ninety five, twin betrayal worth two hundred…
(Dicentra pulls ahead.)
Dicentra: What about watching twin mortally injure and almost kill little brother, sending the little brother into a coma?
Snapdragon: … That’s another two-fifty.
Echo: Wow. Ok. No wonder you don’t talk much.
Dicentra: *shrugs*
Trainee: Uhm… cult?
Snapdragon: You tried that already.
Blue: I count as two people! I should be doubled!
Snapdragon: Ugh, fine, you’ve got a point.
(Dicentra is still in the lead, but Blue is closer now.)
Tribute: Oh! Oh! What about your mother killing the parents of your only friend and sending him to another country to live with his remaining relative because he got too close to me and made it clear that friendship and attachments were strictly forbidden??
Snapdragon: … Fifty two.
Tribute: I will TAKE IT!
(Everyone now falls into silence.)
Dicentra: …So… did I win?
(Meanwhile, in the distance, four Leo’s (two peepaws) watch with horrified expressions.)
Peepaw #1: should we… Do something…?
Mini-Leo #1: Is big Mikey available?
Peepaw #1: I mean there are a few therapists in my timeline now, I could probably get one in here somehow.
Peepaw #2: I’m tempted to join in.
Mini-Leo #2: *snort* Bet? Would we count as one or two?
Peepaw #2: Why team? Or do you only want to spare yourself the shame of losing to someone from your same universe?
Mini-Leo #2: BET?
Mini-Leo #1: …Ok, yeah, get that therapist in here Sensei.
Peepaw #1, already calling his Donnie: I’m already on it.
(Yes, I do have two other AUs. AUs where Future Leo comes to the past! Pairing #1 is the biggest fluff story I have, and I’m being completely real here. It’s based on the brain worm I’ve had ever since watching the original plans for the Movie Opening, which implied that they’d been working on a Time Machine powered by Mikey to send Leo and a team of his choosing to the past to intercept the key. That’s exactly what happens! They get the key, use the key to lock the kraang away, and work to rebuild the future and revive all the lives they lost. They also have the ability to travel between the past and the future just for visiting purposes. Leo adopts mini-Leo and has no shame in it.
#2 pairing is based on a burst of inspiration I had where, when Peepaw dies, his soul is transported to the timeline that the movie occurred in. Alternatively, Leo from the movie is sent into a point in the bad timeline where Raph, Donnie, and Mikey are all still alive and he’s in Peepaw’s body and is basically panicking the whole time trying to figure out a way to get back home because he is NOT cut out for leading the resistance AND raising a CHILD. But he also doesn’t want the timeline to end in tragedy either, so the boy is STRESSED, and Peepaw is just trying not to cry because of all the simple comforts of life are so readily available.)
