Aight the MHA brainworm has awoken within me once more and as a result I feel compelled to yap about my SludgeDeku AU.
A concept that I have had since the first episode and am slightly disappointed by the fact that I have seen this idea NOWHERE ELSE.

The ships arenāt that relevant, though, just stuff that I sprinkle in for āØflavorāØ
So basically, DFO first. Classic DFO background, he married Inko under the alias of Hizashi Midoriya, had Izuku, left the family with the story of his working overseas, and got his doctor to convince the family that Izuku is quirkless. He kinda is, because heās got a dormant AFO within him.
Things proceed as canon until the Sludge Villain attack. This time, All Might doesnāt show up at the last second to separate the two before Deku suffocates, but he finds Deku passed out on the ground, inches from death, sludge hanging off him and pouring out of him. Deku is rushed to the hospital, where it turns out that the Sludge Villain was partially successful: he is housed inside Dekuās body, like a skin suit. Only difference is, Deku is still alive in there, and theyāre now sharing a body, and they canāt separate the two without killing them both. (This is because of Dekuās inner AFO, it activated and absorbed the Sludge Villain but since itās not been able to be fully cultivated (his dear old dad put a suppresser on it) this whole situation came about instead)
So thereās a lot of complicated logistics with this. Thereās the matter of control over the body, the Sludge Villain (I call him Sludgy)(I am unaware of his actual name or if he even has one XD) will rampage at any moment he gets and he is really dangerous and difficult to contain. Deku, however, is the rightful owner of the body and has zero criminal record and manages to remain in control the majority of the timeā¦ once he gets the hang of it.
Sludgy is a mass murderer and a thief, and deserves to be brought to justice. Deku is a child who has done nothing wrong in his entire life. He has good grades and big dreams and a bright future ahead of him, and he deserves to see it through. They cannot separate the two without killing Deku. They cannot let Deku be free because Sludgy could take over at any moment.
So the months in which Deku originally spent training with All Might to receive OFA was instead spent training to remain in control of his body, to use the sludge quirk provided to him without releasing Sludgy, and monitoring his health and sanity levels. When the time came for the new year of UA to begin, Deku was enrolled without taking any tests because that was the best compromise the government could come up with, and Nezu happily agreed.
Deku would be in class 1-A with Aizawa because if Sludgy surfaced, Aizawa would be able to use his own quirk to send Sludgy back into a dormant state until Deku could calm down enough to regain control (Sludgy really only shows up when Deku is highly emotionally distressed). This also allowed Deku to live out his dreams and his future, because he deserves it, obviously, his grades were good enough and now he has a quirk of course he could get in.
UA is also filled with a bunch of pro heroes, including All Might, so if Deku loses control and Aizawa isnāt nearby he can at least be restrained until Aizawa can arrive.
Thereās one last precaution: Deku is constantly wearing a shock collar. Itās monitoring his vitals and Sludge Content. If his vitals spike, the collar preps. If the Sludge Content breaks a certain level, it activates. Sludgy is not immune from electrocution and it will knock them both out for a few hours.
Nobody likes that collar. Deku is ok with it. Everyone else is ready to go to war against it and the people who put it on him.
Iām still debating what to do with OFAā¦ if All Might gives it to Mirio, or even Bakugo, or if All Might still gives it to Deku. They still have their father son relationship because All Might feels incredibly guilty for the position Deku is stuck in. He was chasing Sludgy, after all, and if heād only gotten there a minute or two soonerā¦ so he instead takes Deku under his wing and protection and declares that he is going to help this kid through any problem no matter what.
Bakugo thought Deku was dead, actually- he had no word about him, Deku literally just disappeared the day after The Forbidden Comment, so he was rightfully concerned. When Deku showed up, with no warning or even a greeting or aNY SORT OF EXPLANATION he reasonably loses it.
Nobody knows about Dekuās status as a sorta-not-really-prisoner, itās top secret, they just know that at all times Deku is standing beside SOME sort of pro hero. Mostly either Aizawa or All Might, but if neither are nearby, heās with SOMEONE.
(Secret Love Child allegations are still made by Todoroki. Deku is confused as to how Todoroki could get that idea. Everyone thinks itās true, though.)
