music asks: 15, 19, 25 :D
Ooh thank you for the ask Connie! Bear with me if this is formatted weird as I try to come through answering on my phone.
a song that reminds you of traveling:
At this point I basically get roasted for it on any car ride, but I absolutely have to get Lord Huron on when I'm running music on a drive, particularly on the way home. Can't particularly say why other than the energy just being... Really good for long trips that I've taken alone before.
Some favorites are "When the Night is Over" and "Fool for Love" but another recent joy has been "Vide Noir".
a song from an artist whose old music you enjoy more than their new music:
"Descent of the Archangel" by Kamelot. Not even to say I dislike the new music, I actually really like it, but Descent and a great deal of Epica and the Fourth Legacy just undeniably fucked. Like, whatever the deal with shit like "Nights of Arabia" and "The Inquisitor" was, it fucked.
the song currently stuck in your head OR the song you are listening to right now:
I couldn't tell you why but "Bite, Scratch and Claw" by the Bastard Suns has been haunting me for probably like two, three weeks at this point. Trading shifts with "Say So" by Doja Cat. Yeah, I don't know either.

Kanan's death felt like the straw breaking the camel's back, so to speak. There had been a lot of things piling up at that point but his death just made it all feel like we should stop expecting anything better to come of it.
I think there probably was a way they could have gone on from there that I wouldn’t have hated, but I’m not sure what it was and obviously they did not take that route.
Star Wars Ask: H, N, Q?
H: A Character You Used To Love But Don’t Care For Now?
rey??? like i really defended her back during tfa days, but the more they did stuff with her character, the more i was like ughhhhh. it’s not a personal dislike of the character itself, but a realization that the writing for the character got indefensible lmao, and now i just don’t have the energy to bother with it
N: An Underused Character
CLONES. i just really think it’s a shame how few major arcs/episodes the clones got in TCW. I would’ve loved to see more stuff along the lines of the deserter, innocents of ryloth, (aka more wholesome, character-centric episodes lol) for the central clone characters like fives/echo, rex, wolfpack, etc.
Q: Any Rare Pairs
atton rand/the jedi exile from kotor 2. i would die for them
ask game
I love Poet's design and reading his in game quest story feels so integrated I was imagining it like I was playing the game while reading it ✨ Question about Poet, is there anything he enjoys doing as a hobby especially when he is feeling down?
THANK U!!!
Really he mostly just writes poetry- he also hunts when he needs to eat but that’s more a necessity than a hobby

Why would Yoda make Obi-Wan kill Anakin? I was...
I will always question his line of thinking when it came to this order. Though I think it came down to Yoda thinking on Obi Wan and him were the only Jedi available at the time considering the chaos. They had two things to do: take care of Sidious and take care of Anakin. It makes me wonder how things could have gone if Yoda insisted that he go for Anakin instead. It just seems…really insensitive.
That could be it, thought I would think that by how adamant Obi-Wan was about not killing Anakin, Yoda would take that as a red flag. I’m always really critical of Yoda, especially during TCW and the prequels, because it seems like his actions usually make things a lot worse in the greater scheme of things.
I know it’s not intentional and that he was being manipulated too (perhaps the most of the council, because he was the grand master), but still. I also want to know his reasoning behind assigning Ahsoka to Anakin and not Obi-wan, because I always thought that Anakin’s attatchment to her and her eventually leaving drove him to the Dark Side (which was Yoda’s choice).
He just knows these to men are attatchment prone, lol. And does shit that conflicts with their attatchment.
I do wonder though if Yoda and Obi-Wan together could have turned Anakin good again, and perhaps they could have all fought Sidious together.

@conniferusblack replied to your post:“I first entered fandom at a pretty young age — a teenager, like I’m...”:
It feels like a majority of the time, the ship is prioritized over everyone and anything else. Creating representation is great but if it involves the erasure of another minority character, that's just really shitty. Is there a misunderstanding that the two things cannot coexist or what?
Yeah, I agree tbh. If it isn’t a misunderstanding it’s like a ... a complex interplay of a long long list of different issues, but you probably know that too. It’s just frustrating bc it often comes as a “of course we gotta write it like this” when it’s ... not necessary? to be this way. Although it can be a misunderstanding too, bc in hindsight I have actually seen that kind of attitude or lack of understanding ...
It’s often like a mix of... just to name some things: fetishizing (whether of the m/m ship by itself, or impacted by race), racism (esp if the woman is not white and both male characters are, or the woman is white and both male characters aren’t), internalized misogyny (if one believes harmful or damaging things re: women, they’re just not going to write them or include them in their work), poorly written female characters / female characters written by people who hate women (makes them less interesting or worth time / energy to care about vs male characters having depth and interest), and so on.
Unpacking misogyny in fandom in part requires actively working beyond or through some of the biases, and a lot of people just aren’t willing to recognize, much less unpack, their own biases to even make the attempt.
There’s also that whole other argument where it’s not really representation if it’s used for fetishization purposes, which is a very real problem in m/m fandom, esp w/ straight ciswomen, but the argument for it being representation is almost like a shield to protect them from criticism (and once again protecting them from addressing their biases etc etc lol).
IDK, though. It’s been something on my mind for a while now, but there’s no real like ... action items way to address it, most often bc the people producing these types of works don’t think there’s a problem to begin with, and then get very dramatically upset when asked about it.
