Connor meets Fraser, an outsider, in a hospital waiting room after being assaulted. Fraser shows kindness and listens to his venting, but the illusion of innocence dies when he smiles and asks, "Do you want me to kill him?". Not knowing what to say, Connor doesn't give a clear answer — and the aggressor soon turns up dead. Fraser reveals himself to be an obsessive madman, and Connor's life turns into a madness of crimes and investigations.
