“I installed a combination lock on my closet door in my apartment when I first got the apartment. Inside, the hazmat suit I arrived in is hanging, and a small shoe box I found that has pictures of my family that I scavenged on my way out of my house in New York. Most of them have tears or folds here and there, but... Whenever I start feeling down, I just pull it out and tell myself what my parents would do in that situation. -- Almost every time, the answer is be strong and stay hopeful, but... I dunno if even they could manage that in these times.”
