“Great Scented” Liverwort
Conocephalum conicum
One hell of a proto-glandular lad, really good at removing sulfer, dissolving particulates of organic material and rock, taking nitrogen in the process and making it into some ammonia everyonce in a while, smells like stale urine. In many books it has been refered to as snake skin liverwort, the turgor cells are fairly large and raised, pores are noticeable and easy to see. Usually occurs in fair-large sized thallus, commonly in wetter or humid areas. Doesn’t care where it is as long as it’s a bit damp year round. Dioecious
