i wish i could cast a full amidiot!band!au concept bc conrad tunny is literally perfect and if ces is johnny then obv caligari is saint jimmy but there’s no one left who works as will and that’s like a protagonist so we kinda need him. i also don’t know where bigtop could fit in unless we go the penrad route and make penny the girl tunny meets in the va that i don’t think ever actually gets a name. but the angst. think of the angst crispy

ive been a green day fan since i was a kid and i never knew that someone made a jukebox musical based on american idiot. did myself some wuick research instead of studying for my oral exam and relistened to the entirety of american idiot again, no, i didnt just use this ask as an excuse. i have thoughts. so many. this fucks, and i love it. i love toxic cesdoc. i love this.
i also really like the idea that allen is begging cesare to get better and he doesnt, so allen leaves and thats what makes cesare get better. because in a sense that kind of (a bit of a stretch) happens in the show. like cesare is bad. leaves zomburger and allen. realizes he doesnt want this especially since hes been given an extended sentence and his doctor is no longer there. allen returns (happy ending or whatever) and st jim- caligari, dies. lets shift that into the american idiot musical. cesare is suffering. allen leaves. cesare realizes he doesnt want this anymore especially since his doctor (whatshername (allen)) is no longer there. allen does NOT return (bittersweet ending) and st caligari dies. woohoo! the parallels are sickening and i love it. the angst is palpable and my mouth is watering.
conrad does make an amazing tunny i will also agree to this, and penny would work really, really well here as the extraordinary girl (which is what the wikipedia calls the character. i assume thats because of the song that plays when tunny falls in love with her.) also i got you on who will could be and it all has to do with self destructive frances. shes appeared maybe once or twice in my zombabes (frances/ldg) posts but this could easily work just as well for francillie, or even franpenny if we wanted to get too into it. im more of the side of zombabes considering heather does ultimately leave will and i dont wanna put billie through all that? but frances could work as will if we just give her a cigarette and some ended lesbian situationships throughout her teenage and college years and we're golden
i think the only bad part about a full bigtop casting is that theres 6 main characters in amidiot and like. 11 main characters in bigtop. so we're neglecting a lot of characters. but i think this fucks anyway and i'll focus on the insane cesdoc angst that can come from drug induced madness and visions of a massive fungal freak if you do
