Big parties at The Garden Hotel mean Roan’s going to be working the open bar. And normally, he wouldn’t mind so much. It’s paying for his keep, after all—keeping a roof and state-of-the-art surveillance over his head, ensuring the protection of the Corsicans as part of their bargain. He can even deal with having to wear a tux as his uniform. But he’s had a chance to peek at the guest list for tonight, and it was more than enough to have him nearly hurling all morning. Representatives from all the major mafias from back in his day will be present, and he can only guess at how many new players will be showing up that he doesn’t know about yet. Hell, Alex and Raymond alone showing up would be enough to make him want to call out sick. Here’s hoping the Magpie will make good on his word to protect Roan. Worst comes to worst, he can always just... you know... run whenever he sees a familiar face.
