The mad scientist’s nose scrunched up in mild distaste, having observed the sparse and blank conditions Lord Orochimaru was being kept in from what glimpses he could get from outside the house. How awful! A brilliant mind like that not given anything of substance to explore or tinker with...
Well, Dr. Viper was certainly going to fix THAT.
It had been surprisingly easy to get this close to the other. Watching the supposedly ‘special forces’ type guards fall quickly to his creations was down right pitiable. Viper glanced up as two of his flying plant creations glided over before settling on the roof of the house. They peered over the edge like gargoyles, making odd, unnatural growl like sounds and pleased they had completed the task he had given them. They were the first ones created from a new, refined process Viper had been testing; looking like large hybrids of fruit bats and lemurs that were made out of a pitcher plant. (Which, incidentally, was the parent plant Viper had started with.) They seemed to have better accuracy than earlier generations due to the ocular like structures these ones had developed. In any case, their acid had hit the guards heads and throats fast enough that an alarm couldn’t be raised. The fungal creations didn’t have that ability so a simple ‘strangle and crush before devouring’ tactic had to be used to prevent any ruckus. (Those two were still ‘having fun’ and ‘playing with their food’ it seemed, as they had not made a reappearance yet.)
Viper’s ears twitched upwards. He had heard movement from inside the house, near the back door. The mad scientist hesitated. Clearly, something had happened since he had last seen the other. Would his research partner be reluctant to see him again? Or downright enraged that Viper hadn’t been there?
Only one way to know for sure...
Viper silently walked over to the back door before leaning against the wall next to the frame without hinges. (He was in no mood to get whacked in the face when the door opened, thank you very much.)
“At leasst with assbesstoss you get physsical ssymptomss insstead of the numbnessss of boredom,” Viper finally completed his thought.
