So the time has finally come for us to hand over to the new Conservation Society committee. It's been a pleasure blogging with you all and I wish all of you the best for the future!

Shoutout to Elephant Matters!

Hey everyone! This is a shout out to a fantastic piece of research being done by Lydia Tiller, a PhD student at DICE (Durrell Institute for Conservation and Ecology). Lydia will be travelling to Kenya in order to investigate how land-use change in the Transmara District is driving human-elephant conflict and elephant movement.

Obviously (and as many of you know), research is expensive, and Lydia is taking up that funding challenge with a fantastic campaign named Elephant Matters! I’d ask you all to read about, share her campaign, and if you are able to, donate to it as well. Every little bit helps, and every little bit matters.

Elephants are in global decline, and their size and desirability in the illegal wildlife trade make them even more vulnerable. But the world is full of amazing people like Lydia doing work to understand and halt that decline. Please help her by sharing this message and giving what you can, even if it is just a moment of your time!
