This beautiful beast is my #consew bell skiver. I use it to shave down parts of the leather to get rid of some bulk. Basically it gives a nice tapered edge. In this case, these are the pocket pieces that go in the middle of a No.52 Vertical. So by skiving the bottom edge down we can avoid the ugly bulge at the bottom. And for this wallet especially, if I don’t do this, then the presser foot from my sewing machine will push up against the bulge and leave a pretty deep track line. It’s only noticeable with our Harness leather but I’m always trying to find ways to improve and make our products better. This has helped quite a bit. P.S this video shows 4 different pieces going through. I’m working on a full stack. I realized after that it looks like I’m running the same piece thru 4 times. It works like a dream🙌🏼 (at Ogden, Utah)
