hmm, I don’t think there’s such a thing, but! all reviews are wonderful to me, but reviews that hit me the most are those that either: talk to me about something that resonated with them; just get what I was going for and so make me feel like I didn’t screw up; make me emotional over my own story; or tell me how my writing makes them feel.

ohoh, you’ll be happy to find wei ying’s theme song at the end of the last chapter. I highly recommend listening to it right after you’re done! I really can’t think of any other song right now, but maybe someday I’ll find one that captures the whole fic perfectly!

My parents are accepting of my sexuality, but they don't like the 'overrepresentation' on tv and say that lgbt folks shouldn't have to come out and that characters shouldn't have their sexualities mentioned or show examples of them being queer on tv because "it shouldn't matter if someone is gay or bi or whatever so why bother saying it? You all want to be considered equal but we don't go around proclaiming that we're straight". How do I convince them that explicit representation matters?

Honestly “over representation” where? Like especially for asexuals, who get close to none. 

It matters so much because imagine if we actually get explicit representation of those, a lot of people wouldn’t feel so lost for so long and the feeling of “not fitting in” , “there’s something wrong with me” and “being broken” wouldn’t be there in the first place because there are people out there who are the same as them and that it’s okay to be like that. And if people are knowledgeable about it, then there wouldn’t be any judgement as to why someone is like that, because it isn’t wrong or weird to be the way you are.

1: when you have cereal, do you have more milk than cereal or more cereal than milk?

more cereal than milk, usually, because i hate soggy cereal so much. though to be completely honest, i’m also lazy, so like 90% of the time it’s just me eating cereal by the handful straight out of the box

14: if you were to live with your best friend in an old flat in a big city, what would it look like?

well i do like the idea of floor to ceiling windows on an upper floor of a building and with so many plants that the place looks green when there’s sunlight! so that’s the ideal. hardwood floors, also, and lots of bookshelves.

42: do you have a favorite coffee shop? describe it!

there’s one near my house that i had just discovered before the whole pandemic went down but it has a little seating area on barstools against some floor to ceiling windows (see the theme) and the windows face the sun and the whole place is very airy and smells lovely and i love sitting at the bar stools people watching and drawing while having tea! back home there’s also a really good one that’s like, two different buildings mashed together, and they have all these giant model airplanes hanging in the ceiling and all the walls are uncovered brick and the floor is really old hardwood and it’s got really nice ancient coffeeshop vibes.

59: what’s your favorite myth?

hm!! i don’t know that i have a favorite, per se? i enjoyed reading the story about how the raven stole the sun, but i also just like really creation myths in general.

i was told you love modern aus, so here’s barduil living together somewhere in recent days (in a lakeside house, with a lot of nature around it). i sort of imagine bard having a job that requires him to get up at ungodly hours, which thranduil disapproves of, but once he’s woken up he just shuffles after bard into the kitchen half asleep demanding coffee and cuddles until he wakes up proper. hope you like it. 🙂
