The Only Adventure Left (BuckTommy, 911)

I'm quite proud of this "bottle fic" and the way I built the tension throughout.

Heritage Site (Touya/Yue, Cardcaptor Sakura)

I really like the way I portrayed Yue in this (and I'm very pleased with how I crafted a future for him and Touya).

A Twist of the Knife (unrequited Nie Mingjue/Lan Xichen, MDZS)

This is a character study of the Nie bros first and foremost and I'm very proud of how I gave Nie Mingjue more depth. There are also some lines in this that I think are bangers.

I wish it were more common to have "bilingual" stories. By that i mean stories where it's important that 2 or more languages are spoken throughout. There isn't any translation, there's just multiple languages spoken by the characters. I understand why this is seldom done considering how heavily limiting it is to the number of people who can actually read or watch it. But idk I think the world would be better off with some stories like that.

Many of us live bilingual lives. What those lamguages are, what they mean to us, the historical and political state of those languages, are very very important! So at some point I think it would be nice to write something that is simultaneously English and spanish, and there would be a pretty sizable number of people who could read that.

A story like this would probably be impossible to translate into a third language though, for obvious reasons. Which i feel conflicted about, because I on one hand believe that all art should be in all languages and have as many accessibility options as possible. But I also think this specific type of story *needs* to be in those languages and removing one or swapping them would miss much of the point. Hrmmm...

MDZS: Bike Racing AU

Let’s you and me go on a ride (Ch 4), an MDZS WangXian bike racing au. Title and promotional art by the lovely and talented @chat-noir-chocolat. Shower her with all the love and praise she deserves. <3

Summary:

Wei Wuxian laps the circuit, tests the brakes, the clutch, the maps on each turn. It’s a thrill, it’s always a thrill—asphalt rushing up as he rounds a bend, knee scraping the rough surface. There’s a sense of courting death that’s hard to find anywhere else, and he’s glad that Jiang Cheng introduced him to the sport. (It’s also a distraction, if Wei Wuxian were honest. From skin as smooth as jade and pale eyes that shimmer with ire in the light.)

In which Wei Wuxian is a MotoGP racer, Lan Wangji is his sponsor, and Wei Wuxian just wants to be friends.

Chapter 4:

Wei Wuxian tries to call for him, tell him not to worry, but all he can manage is the first syllable of Lan Wangji’s name. It’s a pathetic little sound at the edge of his throat, and for the first time, Lan Wangji’s perfect mask shatters. Wei Wuxian feels him shake as he lifts Wei Wuxian’s hand, presses soft lips to his knuckles.

“I’m here.”
