Anon 4: Ok, I will refuse Shirazu's death until his funeral. Couldn't they try to make him eat something? I know it's not really human-like, but it's the only way Shirazu could survive while giving his surviving a somehow darker twist, I guess? However, Urie and Saiko's reactions were touching: Urie wanting to give Shirazu the credit was great. Also while looking at Saiko I remembered when she visited Shinohara with Shirazu and Hanbee's words. they already affected her back then :(

@stroemungswrack : 2 theories about Shirazu’s death: 1.) maybe Urie will take care of his sister now and pay for her treatment. he doesn’t seem to care about achievements that much anymore. 2.) maybe Shirazu is not realy dead. maybe he wakes up when the rest goes off to help “Haise” and eats the medical squad in a state of half-ghoul madness. any thoughts on that?
The scene was a mass of feels. Although we only saw a panel of his reaction, I’ve no doubt Bujin was hugely affected too and Mutsuki appears to be in shock right now. ;;
Feeding Shirazu human meat may have worked while he was alive, but looking at the amount of blood he’s lost and the way he lost his hearing/stopped breathing near the end, I believe he’s truly gone. Even full ghouls can die of blood loss... And the rest of the Quinx look to be staying where they are for now.
And I don’t know about Haru. Shirazu was pretty much the only support she had (their mother was not a big presence in their lives), but their mother still might have guardianship over her. Shirazu’s last wish was to let Haru go if he died, and we don’t know what he wrote in his will. Since Haru isn’t in a condition to make decisions, her fate depends on her mother and what Shirazu wished for her. We’ll see what happens. We’ll see. ;_;
Anon 6: Hold on there! Between my tears and cries I had thought, why Ishida did all the hints about the frames breaking and becoming a half ghoul if he was just going to kill him?
Anon 7: I am in complete denial so this may be why I still look for possible signs that may indicate that Shirazu is not dead. Up to now, when an important character died (except Kijima maybe) there's been some sort of flashback or someone remembering them, maybe there's still hope. *goes back to crying*
I’ve partially answered this here - (x) In the end, I’m as much as in the dark as anyone else and I don’t know why Shirazu was killed the way he was when he had so much more potential. It’s the same situation as Hairu. We don’t know now, but I’m sure Ishida-sensei has a bigger plan in mind.
Anon 8: I'm curious, Shirazu died (I'm internally screaming while writing this) the same time Haise went to whatevereki mode he's in now, and I remember someone mentioning that the quinx each resembled a part of Kaneki. Do you think this is symbolism for Haise/Kaneki losing the part of himself Shirazu represented in his new form? Sorry, I haven't actually read through all the spoilers Shirazu dying is the only thing I know about chapter 55 this just came to mind a few minutes ago

Hello, and thank you! :D I’ve already seen a lot of discussion on Noro, and the main theory (and what I also think) is that Noro/Noroi was a good guardian to Eto until something happened and he was put in a critical condition. I don’t think he died as in he stopped breathing/his heart stopped - only that he was very, very close to death. I believe Noro was the first person Eto inserted her kagune into, probably out of desperation. Therefore Noro was only kept “alive” by Eto, which leads back to his last words, “I’ll be going (dying) first, Eto.” This most likely happened over a dozen years ago, before the ghoul full of rage and despair known as the One-Eyed Owl/One-Eyed King became known to the CCG.
And I’m actually quite worried about Kanae. What is the significance with the clocks and “running out of time?” Noro carried around a clock, which went off at certain times - does that mean that he needs regular “infusions” (so to speak) of Eto’s kagune to continue living? D: We haven’t been given enough information to form a concrete theory, but this chapter didn’t raise my hopes for Kanae’s survival ;_;

I believe that misunderstanding came about because several of the fake spoilers said that Noro was a woman. From his appearance and speech, Noroi is a man. ^^

Yes, Kanae was born biologically female, but took on a male role because of his father’s wishes. We don’t know for sure what Kanae identifies as and Kanae might not even know himself, but I’m personally leaning towards the explanation that like Mulan, Kanae is a girl that took on a male role due to societal needs.

Kanae feels dizzy often bc they practically depriving their body of nutrients so that they don't have a period, because from that I assume shuu would find out. If you are active often too, you will stop having a period (it happened to me for a year). Kanae, loves shuu not as a master but romantically but feels ill fit for someone like him. Is this right ???
I don’t think Kanae is depriving his body of nutrients to stop having a period, only that he’s training his body to look masculine. I know about not having periods too, and you have to be near-starving and/or under severe stress to stop having a period. (Which I guess applies to Kanae.) I agree with your last sentence.
Anon 4 (sent to me before the full chapter came out): Do you think kanae wants to be a boy because they believe that they were born in the wrong body, or do you think kanae actually wants to be able to be a girl again and to win shuu's love, not live as a male. (But is doing it for their family))
I don’t think Kanae fits the trans narrative. I think Kanae is under a lot of conflicting pressures, and he’s being pulled apart by them. He chose to live as a man, but yes, I believe if he didn’t have the Rosenwald family to think about he would rather live as a woman.
