Taking The Crown
I used to think Platinum Angel was a terrible card but it turns out if you save it until everyone is on seven life and no-one has removal it wins drafts.

Phyrexian Arena is a lot more dangerous to the user outside of EDH. This should have been obvious, but I’d never considered it before.

Sovereign’s Rotation
I hadn’t realized Kaladesh was so close to release until my timeline got flooded with spoilers. Kaladesh looks pretty cool to me, with a vibrancy that’s been missing from the last several sets. But it’s a distraction from Conspiracy 2, which is still a relatively new set, and which I’ve only had one opportunity to draft. This is somewhat in line with my experience playing the original Conspiracy;…

Well there friend if you've already decided to run Leovold you've already stepped into degeneracy. There's no hiding from it with that smug smile. Group hug no longer functions as hug under Leovold's doctrines. That means Howling Mine and the like can be dropped as a Phyrexian Arena with less downsides. Counterspells are crucial because targeting, as you'll find, largely comes off of Instants. Largely. That is why flexible counters like Voidslime and Summary Dismissal are vital, they'll counter activated and triggered abilities. You'll want to incur the hate to say no and gain draw from it. You could say he finds tears quite delicious. Draw with downside can be used in more crafty ways. The Sultai colors often loot or self mill, and on opponents' turns Cephalid Broker and other effects serve as efficient discard, making Geth's Grimoire a more viable way to keep track of their tears. Time Reversal and its little brother Days Undoing are devastating in Leovold's hands. You'll be removing graveyards and reducing hand sizes to one random card. There are fewer efficient ways to do such a terrible thing. Now put that away before you make the other patrons nauseous, we just cleaned the floors. -Delf
About to draft Conspiracy 2 - someone pls bless my pulls!
I saw this wicked art and it reminded me so much of Fiora’s style, so y’know, as things go, I of course had to put that art to use... :)
Deck name: long live the queen This was the deck that won me 6 packs. It was tons of fun to play and I ended up eliminating the last two remaining opponents in one turn. Deck list: 1 kaya, ghost assassin 1 palace sentinels 1 throne warden 1 ghostly prison 1 knights of the black rose 1 capital punishment 1 raise dead 2 blood-toll harpy 2 driver of the dead 2 regicide(got all but white creatures) 2 ballot broker (allowed me to cast capital punishment with 3 votes for death) 2 thorn of the black rose 1 zealous strike 1 gleam of resistance 1 custodi peacekeeper (pick 5) 1 smuggler captain (for driver of the dead) 1 raise the alarm 1 garrulous sycophant 1 sinuous vermin 1 farbog boneflinger This deck was tons of fun and super flavorful. I won almost entirely through life drain.
