The chartreuse mason bee, or at least that's what I call them...maybe my common name will stick(most bees don't have common names yet so we're stuck with Latin which can be awkward to use at dinner parties). Sometimes when you look at them they're golden iridescent, sometimes they're green. These are tiny, more colorful and hyperactive versions of their larger cousins. In my bee hotel they use tiny 1/8" holes. Definitely an "oh wow" sort of bee if you can get one to sit still long enough for observation. Their ultra fast movements make any photo of them pure luck. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~If there is a bee ID expert out there that can give an exact species ID it would be very appreciated!
