Seeking refuge from the summer heat in the old church at Breedon on the Hill. The earliest parts of the building date from the 12th century; originally there was an Iron Age fort here. The contents are intriguing, too: Anglo Saxon carvings of birds, beasts, saints and angels, plus a wonderfully macabre funerary monument.
