why is the seussical soundtrack actually fire
Hannah: Sing a love song!
Schmitz: You got it!
Hannah: One without "liver" in the lyrics.
Schmitz: Not in my repertoire, Hann.
I love that you're still updating your Seussical swap AU! When I saw this video on Instagram, it made me think of your AU (that is, if in it, Horton still changes for Gertrude in it).
AWWW SO CUTE!! You're right, Horton would do that for Gertrude.
Horton and Gerturde knew each other since they're neighbors, that's established in the story. Maybe when Gertrude was feeling upset over something, Horton would pull this stunt to make her happy again.
And then, AND THEN - after the biggest blame fool song number, Gertrude in the og seussical would have this moment about horton, right? For the swap vers, Horton would come up to Gertrude and comfort her and pull that stunt to make her feel better!
Thanks so much for asking! I'm really sorry that I haven't been updating this account (due to personal life and stuff). But I'm so glad toknow that you enjoyed my AU!
Every time I see "Something to Believe In" as in, from Newsies, I think "Now I've become a someone, who has someone to believe in, and to beeeee thereee foorrrr" from Notice Me, Horton, from Seussical the Musical
Mr. Mayor: Hey, JoJo! Guess what time it is!
JoJo: Why? What time is it?
Mr. Mayor: It's a VERY special time!
JoJo: Oh, boy, oh, boy! What time is it?
Mr. Mayor: Do you REALLY want to know?
JoJo: Yes, yes! Tell me! Tell me! Quick! Please! Yes!
Mr. Mayor: It's MILITARY SCHOOL time! Oh boy!!!
(Later, at the military school...)
JoJo, to one of the other cadets: You know how old people always write to Dear Abby, complaining that their kids never write, call or visit? Those letters really crack me up.
I'm likely to be involved in seussical the musical next year so I gave it a listen and. Yeah. Something something creativity and kindness and accepting each other even if there is hardship. Fighting to be seen and viewed as worth living and the people willing to fight for it when you cannot. Feeling lost and alone because you're believed to be so radically different. Kill me.
I need an adaptation of Seussical where Superman is Horton, Earth is Who/the Clover, and Brainiac and/or Lex is the Sour Kangaroo.
