She did not believe in emoting in public, nor complaining in public. She simply was a symbol for her people for continuity and kindness. As she had no political power as a constitutional monarch within the democracy of the UK and it’s commonwealth, she was at first Britain’s daughter then Britain’s mother and finally Britain’s grandmother and great grandmother. The discussion of white colonization is an important discussion to have but she was a person who inherited enormous privilege and never used it to disrespect or bully others as she loved the commonwealth and it’s many different nations and cultures.
