Hellblazer and its adjacent series featuring John Constantine is honestly so much funnier when you realize that John has pretty decent taste in woman but absolutely abysmal taste in men. Like he’s had some fairly normal stable relationships with women, who’re relatively normal. 

But then you look at John’s track record when it comes to his relationships with men and other than the occasional normal guy you have: a power hungry necromancer who ends up betraying him, a mutant shark-demigod of questionable morals that fucking eats people, and an illegal arms and drugs dealer that feeds orphans to his pet vampire bats and has been obsessed with him for 20+ years and tries to have him killed/framed for murder.
