I don't feel like people talk about how distressing it is to not remember your trauma. I know bad stuff happened but all I got is a big blurry blank and it terrifies me. What's hidden in there? What's so bad my mind erased it completely? Or maybe nothing happened, has it just been normal childhood amnesia instead, with a mild negative experience casting it in a worse light? I think I'd take a visceral memory flashback over this
