10.4.20 — #Moralsupport #team and the last few #deck boards The building of this deck during the most significant industry-complications of my brief time in the #constructionworld – #COVID – has made difficult a scenario that I expected to be much simpler. Lifestyle design has been my aim in leaving hoops — more thought and design autonomy, more freedom of time and mind, more creativity... instead, it’s been grueling and mundane. Bad timing, mostly. All in all, I’m proud of how I’ve been handling these circumstances, which are new to even the most seasoned builders. Nonetheless, here I stand, having to work far too many days, and far too many long hours, to #builditright for my clients. It’s all part of #myMBA and if you know me at all, education rules here. I’ve little to complain about, really. I’ll tell you this, the loved ones in my life have helped offset these difficulties with their support, day in and day out, even though their own circumstances have made that difficult for them to do. In other words: my pregnant wife (and her father, aka Shim Jim) have been taking care of me more than I have been of her! That’s ludicrous. Time to finish these projects up and start #building #ourfamily together. Next project: outdoor composting toilet because we’re about to have THE WHOLE FAMILY HERE IN NC in the next few weeks haha. Gotta love it. Climbing #MtBotl⛰ (at Chapel Hill, North Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/CGFNPODD-Ky/?igshid=4uv0ou76cnzq
