My sound piece ‘Broken Hard Drive’ has been featured on the online sound gallery The Thames Submarine.
It is a contact mic recording of an external hard drive, which had once stored my library of field recordings. The sound that you hear is the drive attempting to boot itself up. It is the rhythmic sound of corrupted data.
