My water garden is flourishing!!

I’m so excited about the new aerator. It’s solar powered, it’ll keep the water moving (benefitting the water quality and plant health), and it won’t contribute to water loss or need frequent cleaning the way a fountain pump would. Also makes a pleasant bubbling noise for the patio!

The plant on the left is mimosa pudica, which is most known for the way its leaves curl in on themselves when touched or jostled! I hope it blooms at some point, they have these cute pink puffballs flowers. And on the right, the dwarf papyrus is doing great with the new trellis my husband gave it!

It makes me happy 🥰

40 gallon container pond so far!

-local store had poor sunstarved water hyacinth, might get another bundle or 2 tomorrow, my gf said some of her store’s were even in bloom!!!

-Joanne pring water lily!!! Any recommendations for soil/heavy loam?Depending if that 2nd rhizome (floating in middle) is viable once they’re all planted

-might look into some creeping Jenny (oooh has yellow flowers) to attach to the side or get a preplanted floating planter that would also ideally come w a butterfly flower :3

-only room for 2 fantail goldfish babs

-get some duckweed from gf’s pond probs
