40 gallon container pond so far!

-local store had poor sunstarved water hyacinth, might get another bundle or 2 tomorrow, my gf said some of her store’s were even in bloom!!!

-Joanne pring water lily!!! Any recommendations for soil/heavy loam?Depending if that 2nd rhizome (floating in middle) is viable once they’re all planted

-might look into some creeping Jenny (oooh has yellow flowers) to attach to the side or get a preplanted floating planter that would also ideally come w a butterfly flower :3

-only room for 2 fantail goldfish babs

-get some duckweed from gf’s pond probs

Help me decide!!

I need help picking fish for my planted 40 gallon breeder! Currently, all I have in the tank is 6 harlequin rasboras, 4 stunning fancy cobra guppies, and 2 mystery snails that I moved over from another tank. I want to stock fish that "match" my rasboras and not take away from them, so nothing super flashy like for example neon tetras. Also, since I have my guppies and snails, I can not do anything that will nip them. If all else fails, I might just have to get more rasboras which I am totally fine with. Just wanted to see if anyone can think of some interesting fish with neutral color and neutral attitude! Message me with your ideas or recommendations! :))

#toy vid post #fish #40gal #undescribed #clown pleco #youre just gonna have to take my word for it that its a clown pleco and not a UFO(unidentified fishy object) wiggling blurrily #cos if i get any closer to the tank it gets VERY upset and hides. so skittish #carrot prep: microwaved it in water in a pyrex bowl until the carrot started making scary hissing sounds to soften it up #stuck a fork in it. soaked it in seachem garlic appetite stimulant. stuck hikari vibra bites in the fork holes and plopped it in.#its been in since friday night. i was gonna take it out by sunday if they werent eating it but at this point i think i should let them #finish eating it?#next time i think microwave it a little longer and possibly more fork holes? and more vibra bites. and i will have to try other vegetables
