The poster illustration by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (famous for his Evangelion illustrations) kept on popping onto my timeline along with seeing the Fuji Tiara featured heavily was enough for me to rent the DVD for Love & Pop (1998) Directed by Hideaki Anno and adapted from a Ryu Murakami novel. The digicam aesthetic, novel camera angles and coming of age story blend together nicely and tickle that nostalgic part of the brain, quite like all about lily chou chou did too.
