Google Nexus 7 - Comprehensive Review

Google's 7-inch tablet is the second generation ultra-portable device which has arrived with incredibly good display. The latest tablet from the house of Google is available worldwide. It was announced in a special event about a month ago. The second generation Google not only presents an improved hardware, but also a slightly modified version of Android OS version Andriod Jelly Bean 4.3.

Design & Processing

The Nexus 7 (2013) looks like a thin black plate. On the front side there is the protective glass, which by the way has a fat-resistant layer. This is, among other things, a feature that makes quality tablet differ from ordinary tablets. The vision is clear and the user control is fun. The back is covered with a matte soft-touch surface. It feels extremely comfortable and allows for a solid grip. The coating has a flat, uniform level. In the first generation it was still dotted. Again, make hardly any fat stains or traces of moisture. And even if there are, you can wipe this effortlessly. The design is excellent, it is an assembly of languor and shine.

The new Nexus 7 has become smaller and thinner than the older ones. It is 200 mm high and 8.65 mm thick. It weighs 290g super light. It fits easily in one hand and can easily be maintained over a longer period. An operation with a normal-sized hand is nearly impossible. There are three buttons all are well positioned and you simply can reach it. The pressure point is also neat. The battery of the 7-inch tablet is 3.950mAh hours strong. 375mAh are less than in the previous generation. Anyway, with full use and maximum display brightness, we have reached 6 hours and 25 minutes. Then it must be charged: 3 hours at an input voltage of 5.2 volts. The power supply works on an ordinary microUSB port. The Nexus 7 is available in three variations: 16GB, 32GB and 32GB with LTE. The version with 16GB offers a free usable space of 11.42 GB.

Display

The display is, as the name suggests “7-inches in diagonal size”. The size has not changed. However, what has changed is the resolution from WXGA to WUXGA. These are 1,920 pixels in height multiplied by 1,200 pixels in width. The indicator thus represents 2.3 million pixels, i.e. 125 per cent more than the display of the Nexus 7, 2012. The Panel is an IPS LC display and scores in all areas sharpness, brightness, black level, color accuracy and viewing angle stability. Even smaller texts can be read off easily. For us personally, it is by far the best 7-inch display. It is phenomenal.

Camera

Google's tablet comes with two cameras. One on the back with 5-megapixel auto-focus and one on the front side with 1.2-megapixel fixed focus and a. The quality of both systems is satisfactory. The primary camera is a bit better and can also record videos in full high definition.

Software

Google Android OS 4.3 Jelly Bean comes with too many features, such as is usual. The look is the same, the concept remains too. Google Play Games is something new. This service was already on the Google I / O presented in the second quarter. Here on the Nexus 7, it is already pre-installed. Developers can develop their games easier with Google Play Games. A multiplayer feature no longer requires a lot of effort, In addition to achievements, leader boards and Co. Summary

The Nexus 7 is a really great tablet. It looks good, It can do what it promised and does not cost much. Indeed, there are virtually no weaknesses on the tablet. One could make the battery a bit more, but that's really about it. Who wants to store many files should not buy the 16GB version, instead, prefer the larger one with 32GB. To strengths include the high-resolution display, great sound, simple and elegant design, the Wi-Fi reception is solid.

Samsung Galaxy J5, J7 get an early preview

Samsung’s J series is going to blow up and soon because it seems like the Samsung Galaxy J1 will finally see an addition to its family, and technophiles all over the world will have phone to dissect and review. Not too long ago, the South Korean giant announced the Galaxy J5 and the Galaxy J7, the other models related to the February-released 4.3-inch handset. Now though these handsets are in no way meant to cannibalize the Galaxy S market, they do have a market of their own. And they intend to conquer it.

The probable specs of the upcoming devices have thankfully now been released, courtesy of the bicking of the grapevine. According to the information we have at the moment, the Galaxy J5 will be smaller in size than the Galaxy J7, however, compared to the Galaxy J1, it would be bigger. It would come with a 5-inch HD display and its larger kin would be half an inch bigger with its screen sizing at 5.5 inches. Under the hood, the Galaxy J5 hosts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and comes with 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB expandable memory. It should be noted that on the GFXBench website, the J5 handset encapsulates a 1.4 GB memory and 4.7 GB storage.

For the J7, Samsung has decided to go with either a 1.5 GHz or 1.2 GHz octa-core Marvel processor. The device is available in two versions, a 4 GB and an 8 GB model, but with the same RAM size. It will also run Android 5.1 Lollipop, which is the latest build of Google's newest operating system.

When it comes to the cameras of the two handsets, the aforementioned website stated that the Samsung Galaxy J5 will bear a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera as well as a 4.7-megapixel shooter on the front. SFor the Galaxy J7, Samsung has decided to go for a 13-megapixel primary snapper and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 will be powered by a 2600 mAh battery while the Galaxy J7 will be pumped by a 3000 mAh battery unit. Unfortunately, there is no information available about the price-tag or the release dates of the newest phones, but these mid-range handsets from Samsung should give away some details soon.
