This was my entry for Huion's "Your Favourite Decade" Drawing contest. This scene is set in the Happy Twenties, when a Chaplin's film is being released. In this case, the film is "City Lights", which was actually released in 1931. In the foreground, you can see our three classic silent film directors: Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd. I wanted to represent the last two as Chaplin's guests of honor in the premiere, just as Albert Einstein and his wife actually were in 1931. Each person has some feature of their character, just to emphasize their identity. In the middleground, I am just in the center of the picture, in the crowd, wearing the typical 20's clothing. I am holding a sketchbook with a drawing of Huion logo. The sketchbook is signed by the well-known film-makers, because I would really like to get their beautiful signatures. In the background, I drew a theater that is going to show the film. I chose this decade because of silent films. This type of cinematography fascinates me! Directors have a great ability to transmit you and make you understand what they want by using only images. They don't need sound or colors to make masterpieces.
