okay but having heard the line in japanese i can explain the “do horses still exist?” comment

because he’s saying “uma iru ka?”

uma being horse, ka meaning it’s a question, and “iru” meaning “to be”

and without context, it being “do horses exist?” or whatever is fair

but in context, it could mean “are you a horse?” “am i a horse?” “is that a horse?” “there is a horse?” etc.

but here he’s actually questioning why the prince is on a horse in hime’s dream, i.e. “why a horse?” or “do people still ride horses?”
