It’s that time again, nine favorites from 2019! *My* favorites, of course, all taken and shared *this year.* Left to right, top to bottom rows: - @Kartboy1234’s 1987 Ferrari 512 Testarossa, arriving at a rainy #RadwoodSonoma back in March. This soggy day made for some very dramatic photos - it was definitely worth getting wet. - This lovely-if-hubcapless two-tone green 1979 Buick LeSabre coupe, a car partly inspired by Paolo Martin’s Fiat 130, was a chance meeting in Pacifica, California during a brief stopover en route to the @nada 2019 show in January. - I am not, I confess, a #Corvette junkie - but this spectacular ‘63 Split-window ‘vette appeared at several events in the PNW this summer, and this just happened to be a nearly perfect capture of the car and its defining feature. - The 1976 “Lipstick Lincoln” #ContinentalMkIV - a proper #landyacht complete with a “Corinthian Yacht Club” parking sticker hanging from the rear view. Shot at, of course, a Marina parking lot. - Old Motors’ very own #RenaultFuego during the brief August period when it was being used regularly. Much work went into the car this year, but it’s still not regularly driven. Here’s to fixing that clutch... - Helen P.’s glorious 1963 #AlvisTD21 FHC in its lovely primrose hue, among the flowers at Vancouver’s #VanDuesenGardens. This car deserves a longer write-up in 2020, so watch oldmotors.net. - Our friend Dan R.’s 1973 #CitroënAmi break on a very wet and cold day in early May. From this angle you can’t tell, but the rear fenders were removed for repair. Indeed it was wet enough to pass up shooting a perfectly good “Starsky and Hutch” Torino that day (sorry fellas). - It would’ve been out of date, but you could practically hear Percy Faith’s “(theme from) A Summer Place” playing in the background as this lovely 1956 Mercury Monterey Phaeton rolled past at the @LeMayACM Marymount in August. - The Raddest Volvo? The spoiler and Borbet wheels suggest a Turbo, but this is a regular 1985 740 GLE, with the exact right license plate (#Radwood) for the event it was at - @RadwoodOfficial New Jersey. - Honorable mentions: November’s Wartburg 311 and a Studebaker Starlight you’ve yet to see. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6s1zfPlsTe/?igshid=1i7ktdip48vhf
