Her heart dropped thinking about traversing through the Delta's swampy soil in the dark, alone. Her eyes widened slightly, taken aback, her throat swallowed on nothing. Her chest bloomed with frustration, cheeks flushed in ire, in a loud personally injured gasp.
Beginning as begrudgingly pleading to simmering wounded pride, her fists balled up as she tightened her jaw, lifting her chin slightly. Indignation brown eyes squinted towards him.
"Grand." forcing the one worded response out, burying her anger under dirt and failing.
Turning her back to him, surveying around, trying to pick a path. How hard could this be? She's managed to get out of deeper seaweed forests. She can do this. One shaky hand went to her neckline, seeking out the touch of her locket. Rubbing her necklace shifting back and forth on her heels.
"I got this. Mhm yep, jus' gotta..." softly spoken words left her, an air of anxious reassurance fretting around her. Deciding after ten seconds to walk towards the left, unsure of the position due to the lack of moonlight coming through the canopy.
Once disappeared from sight she walked approximately three seconds before she ran back towards the vampire. In a shaky breath she blinked once or thrice before clearing her throat, turning her face away. In attempt to pretend she didn't just run like a startled fish.
