Intro RP || contractoroffate
Dramatis Personae:
Igor -- contractoroffate
Akihiko Sanada -- goldenboysanada
Status: Hiatus/Probably discontinued
Summary: Igor tries to convince Akihiko into signing a contract.
Mun's comments: The mun's dry sense of humor manifests itself here. Igor-mun handles it very well. No surprises there, considering it's none other than Souji-mun who's behind everyone's favorite long-nosed man.
contractoroffate:
Ah, a soul I am not terribly familiar with. I do believe you are the young Sanada, who accompanied a previous Wild Card through their journey. Greetings, and welcome to the Velvet Room.
goldenboysanada:
Akihiko tilted his head towards the long-nosed man. He remembered him from that March 31 incident. So this was the Velvet Room? He looked around in wonder. It was very blue, to say the least.
“Hey, Sir, ahh…” He realized that didn’t know this strange man’s name yet. “What am I doing here?” The last time he knew, he was sleeping in his flat and was dreaming of something that had walking beef bowls in it, and a rather friendly protein shake.
contractoroffate:
Ah, do not be alarmed, you are safe in your bed at the moment, I have summoned you here within your dreams.[He spoke before gesturing to himself] I am Igor, a denizen of this Velvet Room.
Ah, as for the reasoning though… [He spoke swiping his hand in front of him, causing a folder to appear on the table before him.] A simple one, to say the least. To offer a contract.
goldenboysanada:
“A contract, Igor-san?” His gaze turned into a questioning one. “What kind of contract?” Based on his experience, contracts were not to be taken lightly. He was no stranger to contracts, considering that his whole education back in Gekkoukan High was a result of a contract with the school’s boxing team. It was a contract he did not regret entering. As for Igor’s proposal, he had yet to see what the long-nosed man had to offer.
contractoroffate:
A very simple one. No need to be alarmed about it, Sanada. [He spoke before swiping his arm over the folder again, opening it up to a dotted line] It’s quite simple, really. All you must do is accept responsibility for your actions, and in return, my ‘services’ will be available to you as well.
goldenboysanada:
“Services?” He squinted at the paper in front of him. It said nothing of these services Igor mentioned. “Do you do laundry, perhaps?” Off his head, that was the only thing he thought he needed as of the moment, considering the unfortunate situation that befell the laundry lady he hired.
contractoroffate:
[Igor stared at the man before him for a couple of moments before responding.] No, I do not ‘do laundry.’ You may recall a certain Wild Card and the abilities they held to change Personas, yes? Those are the services I offer. The summoning and storage of Personae within the Compendium.
goldenboysanada:
“Yes, I do recall.” So, this was the person Minako consulted with on a regular basis? That was a rather interesting fact. That, and the fact that he sadly did not take care of laundry. However, the statement that followed after that was way more interesting. “Personae can be stored inside a book?”
contractoroffate:
Yes, quite so. [Igor spoke before gesturing once again and causing a rather large book to appear on the table as well.] This book, to be exact. Normally my assistant would be taking care of the Compendium, but I’m afraid I find myself without one at present so I am caring for it myself right now.
goldenboysanada:
“I see.” This person mentioned ‘Personae’ as well, the plural form of the word, not the singular form. Was he implying that he had a similar ability as well? “Your proposal of taking responsibility for my actions sounds very vague. Would you care to elaborate on this?”
contractoroffate:
[Igor chuckled in response] Ah, but it is merely as I said, Sanada. You must simply take responsibility for your actions, and follow the rules said out by the contract before you.
goldenboysanada:
The statement was too general for his taste and the vagueness of the contract did not help matters. He can definitely take responsibility for his actions. He didn’t need a contract for that.
Now that he came to think about it, Igor implied that it was related to Minako’s ability to summon multiple Personae. Still, there was something rather daunting about the whole thing. Such power must come at a great price. “Is that all there is to it?” He paused, debating on whether to ask the next question in his mind. Moments later, he thought that he might as well say it. “What happens if I refuse this contract?”
