Klaus left Hope’s room and made his way across the campus. His daughter had called him out for lingering around campus, hoping to bump into Caroline before. Of course, he’d denied it. Since Elijah died, taking the Hollow with him, he’d been listless. Most of his time was spent with Hope or helping maintain peace within New Orleans. So again, he finds himself looking for the headmistress in the hopes they might get a new start. 

In all honesty, when they last saw each other, it was before Elijah sacrificed himself so that Hope would still have her father. She knew that he’d survived because of the twins siphoning the Hollow into Elijah instead of him. He wouldn’t be surprised if it had been her plan all along. But he hadn’t called or written her, preferring to meet face to face but too scared to set up a time or place.
