Part 1 of 2 pieces, Elle, the Chinese-American delivery girl Controller from The Sario Effect. A complete redesign on her from her old one. A looooooot of work with a crappy lagging photoshop program... I really should stop using it. Elle is just your typical (melodramatic) girl: helping her family restaurant while into heroes from 90s cartoons and comics, and photography. She’s got no secrets. And even if she did, she would only have two.

I decided to redo my Chinese-Amercian Host OC, El. Felt like some decisions I made for her, I could have done without (like her knit cap, who wears that in California?) She looks pretty mature and adorbs compared to my last design now. And yeah, she looks deceiving right? That’s what I wanted actually, not because of her having a Yeerk but hiding that she has a disability.

One thing I enjoy always with El are the eyes. They are based on a saying my mom says about my niece, that she has whale-shaped eyes. That’s what I put on El.
