there's a good chance you've heard of this one, but BEHOLD The XBOX (original) Steel Battalion Cockpit controller. Steel Battalion was a hardcore mech sim fighter where you had to use every single button on this here bad bitch to start up, pilot, cool down, and of course fight your mech. It included a startup sequence of hitting buttons in the right staging orders, and full control of weapon/movement systems. Steel Battalion, just as a lil bonus nugget of info, was a career based game in which if you died, you had to start your entire save over from scratch.

The accelerometer equipped Katana Controller released with Onimusha 3. A fully functioning PS2 controller built into the hilt of a cheap lightweight plastic sword which had a function where you would swing the sword to attack. Onimusha, for anyone not aware, is a Resident Evil style 3rd person action/horror game which controls much the same way as RE does.

The Freak Series II Dragon Controller. More or less just a normal og xbox controller but with its swag levels off the charts.
honestly all of the freak series controllers seem silly at first but are really cool. its impressive how much artistry went into making these things that would be Hell used as actual controllers, but are really fucking cool artpieces masquerading as them
The gigantic mouse-like Hori "Super Robot Wars Single Handed Controller" released for, as one may guess, Super Robot Wars on the PlayStation. SRW being a tactical RPG. Most notably, the controller features a Console Reset function via a button up front due to the game being punishing with killing off Hero units and the consequences of said heroes dying.
