Denna was late, of course, but it seemed that Logan had just arrive when she got there. That was a good sign. She didn’t want to start with a bad disposition, especially given what she was about to ask him. “So, how’s school going?”, she asked as they walked into the diner and sat at an empty table. Fortunately there weren’t many people there. That made everything considerably easier. “I’m struggling a bit this year. Mass communication is kicking my ass, but it’s a great subject.” She shrugged. Yes, she was stalling, but she wanted to way at least until the ice cream came, so Logan’s mind would be partly focused on that, and not so much on the fact that she was about to tell him she was seeing Heath Arlington.
