Hey, I want to look into whether conversion is the right way to go for me, and I want to find a rabbi with whom I will feel comfortable. I am transgender, nonbinary, and queer, as well as anarchist/deeply opposed to nonconsensual hierarchy and authority. These things are part of what drives me toward Judaism, but from what I have read, some communities might be more fitting for me than others. I am terrified of finding a rabbi who ends up being disrespectful of me, but should I just go out there and hope for the best? Is there a way for me to look for specific "schools of faith" (for lack of a better word) that are maybe fitting for what I value? I am terribly sorry if this question is in any way inappropriate, I tried my best to adhere to your standards but might have missed something. Thank you so much for what you do!
