Potentially stupid question--I've thought about converting for some time now, but I'm almost afraid I don't have a good enough reason. I was raised Christian, but more and more I don't feel like who I am as a person lines up with Christian doctrine, and I love everything I've read about Judaism and what it believes so much more. How do I explain any of this to a rabbi without being disrespectful or sounding like I just want a "get out of Christian-normativity" free card?
