she didn't think she'd be back here, especially not so soon. at the same time if felt like she'd been gone forever. a few months, 16 weeks by her count give or take, and life felt entirely different. maybe she should've called him or texted him first, but this didn't feel like a conversation she wanted to have over the phone. surprising him might not be the best move either, but amethyst didn't know what else to do. maybe he'd be glad to see her, but maybe he wouldn't... she was trying not to overthink everything, but it felt impossible. she sat int he front seat of her truck for a little bit, building herself up, feeling her stomach through the hoodie that covered her. she was barely showing yet...
