Chou’s job tended to put him in some strange places, usually ones off of the ground. Currently he was doing some work in the large park in the city, it was his responsibility to ensure it was kept in healthy condition. He was in the upper-most branches of a large, old tree looking at a concerning patch of moss that had grown over the past few months. Luckily it seemed the moss wasn’t a pest and likely to add to the ecosystem of the tree. 

He sat back on the branch and let out a breath, looking down at the people below him. One of them stood out, Kara... Chou blinked before leaning back and leaving himself handing upside down, just a little above Kara’s head. “Hello, Detective.” he said easily, “I have good news, the bark of this tree isn’t infected by a problematic moss clump.” his voice a little lighter, he was truly pleased at the news.

Chou didn’t really have many close acquaintances to speak of, most of the relationships he’d managed to keep had a strong level of practicality to them or others tended to put in more effort. This case was an odd mixture of the two. His mother had baked too many Daifukus (something he was beginning to suggest she did on purpose for these errands) and had asked if he’d deliver some to the police station for one Kara Sykes.

He stepped into the building, nodding at the officer who’s gaze show to the box in his hands (word of his mother’s cooking skills had quickly spread through the precinct) and made his way to the desk. “I’m here to see Kara Sykes please.” he evenly told the desk sergeant who’d seen him visit enough to simply nod and pass the message on. Chou merely stood idly by, looking out the window as he waited for the woman to come see him.

When: Present Day Where: Star City (Stark Industries) With: Kara @memoriesofkrypton​

Exchanging emails and phone calls was fun and all but Darcy always preferring putting a face to a name. Kara Kent seemed real nice and was that rare thing in the world of admin assistance: a competent person. So, after arriving in Star City, Darcy had sent out an email for an informal meet up at Stark Industries’ place with the highest hopes. With any luck she might even end up with a new friend friend and not just a work friend. 

She was waiting in her new office in one of her fancier skirt suits when reception called and she grabbed an elevator down, smiling at the blonde woman she saw in the waiting area. “Kara Kent, nice to meetcha! I’m Darcy Lewis, the Stark girl who’s been emailing ya back and forth.”
