Aziz only had enough time to tell Eira about their departure before flying home in a heartbeat. For a few moments during the trip, his mind took him back to Parents’ Day when he talked to Razoul but he couldn’t find any sort of clue to his true nature. Not like he was the nicest guy even then.
Soon enough they landed in front of the Royal Palace and the prince returned to the present moment. The guards saluted them, though clearly confused by their sudden arrival and then followed them into the throne room where the Sultana had an audience with delegates from another kingdom.
Aziz ignored the confused courtiers and the protocol, walking straight to Jasmine.
“Mom, we need to talk to you..in private,” he cleared his throat.”I know this is sudden and it disrupts your schedule..but it’s urgent.”
Jasmine had a lot of questions and was concerned, but she knew that her kids and Miriam wouldn’t do such a thing if they didn’t have a good reason.
“Fine,” she said. She gestured for everyone in the room to leave and they followed, leaving her with her sons and her handmaiden’s daughter.
The Sultana stepped down from her throne to hug her kids before going to the topic at hand.
“Now, I hope you didn’t get in trouble at school again, right?”, at which Aziz smiled a little despite feeling just as nervous.
“No, mom. It’s about Miriam..and Captain Razoul,” he said, before turning to face his brother and friend. This was gonna take a while.
Jasmine looked at Miriam, trying to decipher the meaning behind their faces.
